About…

Hello!

An electronics engineer who turned to the dark side early on, I fell into the world of free software and the Internet at a time that might well earn me the title of “Net Dinosaur,” even though, I must admit, I wasn’t very active on the Usenet group fmbd. That said, I do have other telltale symptoms of dinosaurhood:

  • I still use UUCP (even when I’m not being tortured);
  • I don’t top-post;
  • The signature at the bottom of my messages is no more than 3 lines long;
  • I still don’t use HTML or other fancy features in my messages.

I work as a sysadmin, with a strong focus on IT security, in a public institution in Western France with strong ties to the sea.

I have a soft spot for embedded systems, software-defined radio, and radio communication in general. I’m also a radio amateur (HAREC A license, callsign: F8FIV).

A fan of Douglas Adams and Pierre Desproges. Both deceased, unfortunately… 😉
